Our history in Flushing
The Learning Tree opened in 1996. These milestones trace the school’s development over the years.

Founded in Flushing
Opens with a single early-childhood classroom on 35th Avenue.
- 2001
Kindergarten through 2nd grade
The school expands to include kindergarten through second grade.
- 2010
Two languages from 3K
Mandarin and Spanish become part of every child's week.
- 2014
Media Arts opens
The Media Arts program introduces student filmmaking and a film festival.
- 2019
First 8th grade graduates
The school celebrates its first eighth-grade graduating class.

The Learning Tree serves students from 3K through eighth grade.
